About: Basil essential oil is sweet, spicy and herbal. Made by the steam-distillation of the herb’s aromatic leaves, this essential oil helps to support healthy muscles and joints and is excellent for cleaning and dealing with germs and bugs. Its garden fresh scent can also support mood and healthy stress-response. Always dilute.

Common Uses: Basil essential oil is often added to muscle salves and massage oils to support healthy muscles and joints. Basil may also promote digestion and soothe occasional bloating and discomfort when massaged in a carrier oil on the belly. To support the immune system and clear sinuses, Basil can be diffused in the air.

Blending Recommendations: Basil blends well with many essential oils and adds a delicious, garden fresh scent. Basil is a base to middle note in blending.
